Safari City is a master-planned satellite city located in Mateves, Arusha—a key hub for Tanzania’s safari industry, the development combines residential, commercial, and leisure spaces within a carefully designed urban fabric, offering stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and easy access to the region’s natural and tourism attractions.

To temper this rigid impression, a soft palette of beige, brown, and white are employed across the offices quarters that comprise the complex, with, the open office areas are oriented towards the large windows facing the wadi to ensure users are in direct contact with the natural environment.

Merging nature and culture

A further expansion of new architectural typologies and uses within the industrial area of Diriyah known as JAX, the Ministry of culture commissioned the design that is sympathetic with Wadi Hanifa’s unique and rich character. Bricklab developed a conceptual framework around the duality between nature and culture. Their approach for the design of the 7,300 m² facility is informed by the various ecosystems that characterize Wadi Hanifa on the one hand, and the familiar warehouse typology on the other.
